Child Birth

Our brain can easily decide something is a threat. It may be something that we’re scared of, something that we’re anticipating or something that we haven’t experienced before. When our brain decides that something is a threat, it will prepare us for danger. This includes catastrophising and overthinking the event and both of these things can cause us anxiety and panic. It can make us want to avoid. This can be true for childbirth. Hypnotherapy can help us to be rational about childbirth so that we are calm, positive and in control.

Through the power of visualisation and reframing the event, we can take control of our thoughts and stop ourselves from going into survival  brain where we are fearful, anxious and negative. Once in intellectual brain, we can remain in control of our thoughts and choose to be positive and excited for what is ahead.
